70’s Baby/80’s Made Me
Those that know me know that I’m deep into what some would call ‘Oldhead Music’… You know, the kind of music that’s hard to find on CD; The kind of music your drunk uncle plays at the barbeque while he sips Taylor Port; The kind of music that many of us were conceived to…. In order to expose the world to some of the selections that get me through the day (& night), I present to you the 70’s Baby/80’s made me playlist. All the songs were produced between 1972-1986 & I think serve as a soundtrack to the developmental years of those who came of age during Crack’s untimely rise.
The first selection is from Pittsburgh-born & Philly-bred artist Phyllis Hyman. While she’s know for alot of her 80’s works, “No One Can Love You More”is a 70’s gem. Check it out & give me some feedback to the 1st of many throwbacks!
